Sydney Artist Tanya Iggleden Releases Debut Single “Unbreakable” — A Defiant Anthem of Survival and Strength

Written By – Owen Davis

Sydney, Australia — On August 18, emerging artist Tanya Iggleden will release her debut single “Unbreakable”, a soul-stirring anthem that chronicles her harrowing journey through severe domestic violence that nearly costed her, her life, family separation, and personal rebirth. The single will premiere alongside the launch of her official website, tanyaiggleden.com, marking a bold new chapter for a woman whose voice was nearly lost—but never silenced.

For Tanya, Unbreakable is not just a song. It is a declaration.

“I’ve lived through things I wouldn’t wish on anyone,” she says. “But I didn’t let it break me. I chose to fight. I chose to sing.”

The track, which blends cinematic pop with raw RnB undertones, draws from Tanya’s lived experience as a survivor of severe domestic violence that nearly took her life, and the traumatic loss of her children to the system. Her lyrics are unflinching, her delivery fierce yet vulnerable. It’s a sound that refuses to be polished into perfection—because the truth, she insists, is rarely tidy.

“I wanted people to feel what I felt,” Tanya explains. “The grief, the rage, the hope. I wanted to make something that could hold all of it.”

Born in Kempsey and raised in the Central Coast, Proud member of the Dunghutti and Biripi Nations, currently living in Sydney. Tanya’s creative journey began in modelling and acting, with appearances on platforms like Star Now and MCTV who is currently supporting her career as an actress, showcasing her flair for performance and fashion. But music, she says, was always the deepest part of her identity—an outlet she returned to in the darkest moments of her life.

“I would sing to myself when I had nothing else,” she recalls. “It was the only thing that made me feel real.”

Her debut single was written in the aftermath of a years-long battle with the legal system, during which she fought to reclaim her children and her voice. The emotional toll was immense, but Tanya found strength in storytelling. Unbreakable emerged as both a personal catharsis and a message to others who’ve endured similar trauma.

“I know there are women out there who feel invisible,” she says. “This song is for them. For anyone who’s been told they’re too broken to dream.”

The launch of tanyaiggleden.com will serve as a digital home for Tanya’s music, advocacy, and creative projects. The site features her biography, upcoming releases, and a growing archive of visual content that reflects her bold aesthetic and survivor spirit. It also hints at future collaborations and live performances, with Tanya positioning herself not just as an artist, but as a voice for change.

“I want to build something bigger than myself,” she says. “A platform for truth, for healing, for art that matters.”

As the music industry continues to reckon with its role in amplifying marginalized voices, Tanya’s emergence feels timely and urgent. Her story is one of resilience, but also resistance—a refusal to be defined by trauma, and a commitment to transforming pain into power.

With Unbreakable, Tanya Iggleden doesn’t just introduce herself to the world. She challenges it to listen.
